Morning and afternoon game drives by safari vehicles with sunrise and sundowner stops. You will also have an opportunity to partake in stargazing with talks about the beautiful African sky.
Serengeti is also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder; the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle. The spectacular of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers.
Explore the area on guided walks, nature drives, and by quad-bikes. View San rock paintings and petrified dunes. Discover Sesriem Canyon and Dead Vlei on excursions. Float above the spectacular dunes in a helicopter to see the various hues from orange to terra cotta that tower over the vast, dry pan. Join the resident astronomer for an evening of unforgettable stargazing at the state-of-the-art observatory.
An early morning visit to Tswalu’s habituated meerkats to see them in their natural habitat is an unforgettable encounter. You’ll have an opportunity to get within a few feet of one family group to watch them pop in and out of their burrows, stand tall, groom and play with each other, soak up the sunshine, and forage in the sand for tasty morsels. Here you will also have an opportunity to see other more elusive species in Africa, namely aardvark, pangolin and bat-eared fox.
On your final night bid farewell to your fellow travelers at a cocktail and dinner party.
