Zanzibar!  What better way to end a magical safari experience in East Africa than with a few days in a lovely beach environment on the coast.  Zanzibar is a Tanzanian archipelago located off the coast of East Africa and an easy flight from either Kenya or Tanzania.  On the main island of Unguja, most often called Zanzibar, is Stone Town.  This historic trade center has both Swahili and Islamic influences.  As you settle in for a few days at the beach, enjoy a tour of Stone Town which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000.  Visit the central market, the former slave market with the Anglican Cathedral, Tippu Tip House, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, and the Palace Museum, a former residence of the Sultan and princess Salme, and the Maruhubi Palace Ruins.
