DAY 1 • Colombo / Negombo, SRI LANKA---The Wallawwa

On arrival in Colombo, you are transferred to your resort hotel in the relaxing coast town of Negombo.

DAYS 2 – 3 • Dambulla / Sigiriya---Jetwing Vil Uyana

Discover the Dambulla Caves Rock Temple, dating back to the 1st century BC. In Sigiriya, climb the famed historic 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress, called the “8th wonder of the world”. Visit the age-old city of Polonnaruwa, and the Minneriya National Park – A wildlife sanctuary, the park is dry season feeding ground for the regional elephant population. Meals: B

DAY 4 • Matale / Kandy---Kings Pavilion

Stop in Matale to enjoy an aromatic garden tour and taste its world-famous spices such as vanilla and cinnamon. Stay in the Hill Country capital of Kandy, the last stronghold of Sinhala kings and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the city’s holy Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Gem Museum, Kandy Bazaar, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. In the evening enjoy a vibrant and unique Cultural Dance Show. Meals: B

DAYS 5 – 6 • Bentota / Galle---The Villa Bentota

The coastal town of Bentota faces the Indian Ocean and sits on a tropical lagoon. Relax in this haven landscape dotted with coconut palms. Enjoy a boat trip on the Madu River, a complex coast ecosystem of mangroves and islands, while watching for monkeys, cormorants, and egrets. Visit Galle, one of the best preserved colonial era cities – an ancient seaport with a multi-cultural feel. Stroll through the fortress ramparts, and explore the ancient churches and old Dutch-style manors with their complex latticework. Visit the Dutch Museum, Groote Kerk (Great Church) and the National Maritime Museum. Climb up the 60-foot high lighthouse for a grand view. Meals: B, 1D

DAYS 7 – 8 • Galle / Colombo---Uga Residence

Drive back to Colombo to explore this vibrant capital city and main port of Sri Lanka. View its collection of colonial buildings, as well as the famous Buddhist temple, Gangaramaya Temple, and the city’s oldest Dutch church. An evening tour gives you a unique look at this classic metropolis. Depart from the Colombo airport on Day 8. Meals: B
