DAYS 1 – 4 • Lisbon, PORTUGAL---Bairro Alto Hotel

Portugal, a country covered with international World Heritage Sites and blessed as one of the most relaxed and beautiful capitals in Europe. Discover the various historical landmarks and the many vineyards. Arrive in Lisbon, where you will be met and transferred to your luxury hotel.

Tour Lisbon’s Alfama District on a walking tour and enjoy a private visit to the Tile Museum for an up-close look at the varieties of colorful tiles found all around the city and St. George’s Castle for views from the top of Lisbon’s highest hill. Venture outside Lisbon to Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a walking tour of the city center and a privately guided visit of Monserrate Palace. Visit the lovely fishermen village of Cascais and the Estoril coastline. Further exploration in Lisbon includes the Belem area with panoramic views of the Discoveries Monument and Belem Tower and a guided visit to the Jeronimos Monastery. Enjoy leisure time for your own explorations of the city. Meals: B 1L

DAYS 5 – 8 • Porto & Depart Home---The Yeatman

En route to Porto, visit the enchanting town of Tomar, once the seat of the Knights Templar. Explore the town’s narrow walkways, mosaic-tiled square and enjoy the traditional Portuguese charm. Visit the 12th century castle that guards the Convent of Christ, with its rotunda centerpiece the Oratory of the Templars.

Tour Porto’s historical center with visits to the Stock Exchange, St. Francisco Church, and Lello Library. Also included in the tour are visits to Casa da Musica and Serralves Modern Art Museum. Enjoy a lecture on wine presented in a local wine cellar.

Tour the Douro Valley wine region and visit a local estate and enjoy lunch and lectured wine tasting presented by the estate’s owner. Weather permitting, enjoy a private river cruise aboard a typical Rabelo boat while enjoying appetizers and wines. On Day 8 you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight home or to your next destination. Meals: B 1L
