DAYS 1 – 2 • Ulaanbaatar, MONGOLIA---Shangri-La Hotel

Arrive Ulaanbaatar where you will be transferred to your hotel and begin your journey of the city. Visits will include the War Memorial, Gandantegchinlen Monastery, as well as the Mongolian National History Museum. The museum has an excellent display of several millennia of history of Mongolia beginning with the Stone Age, and ends with a colorful display of contemporary society. Meals: BLD

DAY 3 • Ulaanbaatar / Gobi Desert / Yol Valley---Three Camel Lodge

Fly to the Gobi Desert, one of the most famous and exotic areas in the world. The majority of the Bactrian camels live in this area. You will have an opportunity to take a morning trek for viewing the stunning landscape and intriguing wildlife. Yol Valley is the narrow canyon of a river that flows through Zuun Saikhan Mountain. DAYS 4 – 5 • Khongor Sand Dunes---Gobi Erdene Ger Camp

Drive to Khongor Sand Dunes which is the largest accumulation of sand in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. These high dunes are called singing sands by locals because of the various sounds it makes when the winds blow. Meals: BLD

DAY 6 • Bayanzag/Flaming Cliffs---Three Camel Lodge

Continue our journey to Bayanzag, the Flaming Cliffs to explore the Gobi Desert’s Cemetery of Dinosaurs. Petrified forests, remains of mammals and skeleton of a hornless rhinoceros are found in this area. Meals: BLD

DAYS 7 – 8 • Gobi Desert / Ulaanbaatar / Gorkhi-Terelj National Park---Shangri-La Hotel / Alungoo Ger Hotel

Return to Ulaanbaatar to visit the Winter Palace of the Bogd Khan. It contains a number of Buddhist artworks and a private collection of Bogd Khan, composed of gifts from rulers and kings from all over the world. Meals: BLD

DAYS 9 – 10 • Gorkhi-Terelj National Park / Ulaanbaatar & Depart Home---Shangri-La Hotel

Your journey ends with an excursion to the 13th Century Park to explore and experience the lifestyle, customs and traditions in genuine Mongolian environment. Transfer to the airport for your flight home. Meals: BLD
