DAY 1   •  Tel Aviv, ISRAEL---Dan Tel Aviv

On arrival in Tel Aviv you are met by your VIP greeter upon disembarkation and escorted through customs, immigration, and then transferred to your hotel.

Stretched along the beautiful beach strip of the Mediterranean, Tel Aviv is known as “The Miami of the Middle East”. A historic yet modern metropolis, the city offers a diverse collection of neighborhoods as well as restaurants. Visits include the famous Art Deco & Bauhaus architecture of the White City area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the artsy Neve Tzedek neighborhood with its Beit Rubin Gallery and the Tel Aviv Art Museum. Meals: B

DAYS 2 - 3   •  Haifa / Nazareth / Tiberias--- The Scots Hotel Tiberias

Depart for Tiberias this morning. Visit Cesarea, which was built by Herod as a major seaport at the time of Christ. Continue to Haifa, a modern seaport on the slopes of Mt. Carmel. Visit Elijah’s cave and the cradle of the Carmelite Order at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. In Nazareth celebrate Mass in the Holy Land at the Basilica of the Annunciation.

Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit the village of Capernaum at the site where Peter lived and Jesus performed much of his ministry in Galilee. Continue to the beautiful Mount of Beatitudes. Visit the Jordan River and reflect on Jesus’ baptism by John. Meals: B

DAYS 4 - 8   •  Jericho / Jerusalem & Depart Home---King David Hotel Jerusalem

Drive down the Jordan Valley to Jericho for a visit to the Tel of the ancient city. Continue to the Dead Sea with time for a swim. Travel to Masada and take the cable-car up to the last stronghold of the Zealots. Some 2000 years ago, Roman legions stormed one of the two paths to the top of this sandstone mountain to reach the Jewish Zealots headquartered there. The brave Israelite soldiers held out for three years against the invading Roman army before taking their own lives to avid capture and enslavement. Visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Stop at the Inn of the Good Samaritan before continuing to Bethany to see the church and the tomb of Lazarus.

From Jerusalem, continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity before driving to the Shepherd’s Fields.  Visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem that stands upon the site where Jesus was born.  On the Mt. of Olives, walk the Palm Sunday route.  See the Wailing Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, through the markets of the Old City. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.  Meals: B
