DAYS 1 – 2  •  Dublin, IRELAND---The Merrion Hotel

Arrive in Dublin and be transferred to your luxury hotel. One of Dublin’s top guides will take you on a walking tour of Georgian Dublin to include a look at Dublin Castle, Grafton Street, the National Gallery and Trinity College famous for The Book of Kells. Discover County Wicklow, known as the Garden of Ireland with miles of rolling hills, mountains and waterfalls. Explore Glendalough, the valley of two lakes, where you will see the cathedrals, high crosses and enjoy a truly memorable stroll through the valley. Meals: B

DAY 3  •  Kilkenny---Cashel Palace Hotel

Drive to Kildare for a stop at The National Stud Farm, home of Irish race horses, and the world famous Japanese Gardens on Tully Estate. Continue to the 12th century Kilkenny Castle, which is now managed by the people of Ireland. There are ornamental gardens on the city side of the castle, and extensive gardens to the front. It has become one of the most visited tourist sites in Ireland. Part of the National Art Gallery is on display in the castle. Meals: B

DAYS 4 – 5  •  Kenmare---Park Hotel Kenmare

Tour the great 4th century fortification of Cashel.  This was the seat of kings and medieval bishops for 900 years and flourished until the early 7th century.  Visit Blarney, a very popular spot over the last few hundred years and one of Ireland’s greatest treasures.  Drive the Ring of Kerry, one of the most scenic drives in all of Ireland.  Be impressed with the stunning coastline, quaint farmlands and green mountains. DAYS 6 – 7  •  Cong---Ashford Castle

Drive to Ashford Castle via Adare, renowned as Ireland’s prettiest village, and Limerick. In Adare, thatched cottages line the main street, punctuated with beautiful stone buildings and picturesque ruins. In Limerick, visit the Hunt Museum. Visit Connemara National Park where sheep freely graze and Kylemore Abbey stands dramatically at the foot of a mountain, an area beloved by artists and poets for scenes of magical inspiration. DAYS 8 – 9  •  Newmarket-on-Fergus & Depart Home---Adare Manor / Dromoland Castle

Continue to Galway and across The Burren to see the Cliffs of Moher, a sheer precipice and one of the most impressive stretches of the coast of West Ireland. On Day 9 you will be transferred to the Shannon airport for your flight home or to your next destination. Meals: B

The castle that was the ancestral home of the O’Briens of Dromoland who were the Kings of Thamond and whose lineage goes back 1,000 years to Brian Boru, the only High King of Ireland.
