DAYS 1 – 2 • Reykjavik, ICELAND---Hotel Borg

Arrive in Reykjavik where you are met and transferred to your luxury hotel. One of the world’s smallest capitals, Reykjavik is believed to be the location of the ﬁrst permanent settlement in Iceland and is now the heart of the country’s cultural and economic activity. Gain an insider’s view of the city with modern buildings and fresh bright colors on a city tour. Drive past Bessastaoir, the residence of the Icelandic President and gain a view of the city from the impressive Perlan observation deck.

Take a whale watching boat (May – Sep) to see the Minke, Humpback and other types of whales that call the North Atlantic home. Join the customized snow vehicle to ride across Langjokull Glacier and walk through the fascinating manmade ice tunnels. Observe the stunning Hraunofossar and Borgarfjord. Meals: B

DAYS 3 - 4 • Hella---Hotel Ranga

On your way to Iceland’s south coast, visit the Golden Circle where you find Iceland’s Big Three: Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir Geothermal Area, and Thingvellir National Park. Explore these scenic natural wonders and learn about their signiﬁcance and history. The roots of how the island was formed can be found at Thingvellir, and it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site – the ﬁrst one named for Iceland. Enjoy a visit to an Icelandic Horse stable. Drive by Super Jeep out to Thorsmork valley, situated between three glaciers, and the realm of the Thunder God, Thor. Witness the layers of a volcanic eruption from thousands of years ago as you join a walk into a lava tunnel and admire the colors on the walls from assorted minerals within the hardened lava. DAYS 5 – 6 • Hof--Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon

Travel along the picturesque south coast with stunning waterfalls, volcano glaciers, and black sand beaches. Visit Vik, Iceland’s southernmost village and a historically important trading post. Learn about Iceland’s unique geology at the Lava Exhibit and molten lava show. Walk on the ice field of Solheimajokull Glacier. Explore Vatnajokull Glacier, the largest in the country. Hike an easy trail from Skaftafell to Svartifoss waterfall. Visit stunning Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and board a zodiac for an exhilarating ride (May-Sep). Meals: B

DAYS 7 – 8 • Reykjavik & Depart Home--Hotel Borg

Depart the south and head back to Reykjavik, stopping to explore sites along your route. On Day 8 transfer to the airport for your homeward or onward bound flight. Meals: B
