DAYS 1 & 2  •  Athens, GREECE--King George Hotel

Arrive in Athens where you are met and transferred to your luxury hotel on centrally located Syntagma Square. One of the world’s oldest cities, Athens is home to the renowned Parthenon atop the Acropolis. Gain insight into ancient Greek history on a full-day tour of the city, including the Acropolis and the impressive Acropolis Museum housing a wonderful collection of antiquities. Enjoy an introduction into Greek specialties at a delicious lunch and tasting in the market. Meals: 1B 1L

DAYS 3 - 5  •  Nafplion---Nafplia Palace

Depart Athens and head to the Corinth Canal that separates the Greek mainland from peninsula known as the Peloponnese. The historic canal was many years in the making having been first proposed in the 7th century BCE and then attempted in 67 AD by Nero. Ultimately, the final construction was completed in 1893. Begin your tour of the Peloponnese with a visit to the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, known for its acoustics and aesthetics. Check into your luxury sea view bungalow in Nafplion.

Venture out to Olympia to explore the birthplace of the Olympic Games and home of the Greek mythology gods and step inside its archaeological museum. Discover Nafplion on a tour of the city and take in fabulous views from its expansive Palamidi Castle. Meals: B, 2L

DAYS 6 & 7  •  Monemvasia---Hotel Kisterna

Drive to the fortified town of Mystras, an UNESCO World Heritage Site near the location of ancient Sparta. Explore the castle and have lunch before arriving at the medieval castle town of Monemvasia and your suite accommodations. Spend a full day touring the region, including the Diros Caves, the lovely seaside town of Gytheion and the beautiful castle of Monemvasia. Meals: B, L

DAYS 8 & 9  •  Athens---King George Hotel

Catch your last glimpse of the Peloponnese as you drive back to Athens. Upon arrival you may wish to take a walk in a nearby neighborhood, do some last-minute shopping, or simply relax in your luxury accommodations.

On Day 9 bid farewell to Greece as you transfer to the airport for your flight home or to your onward destination. Meals: B
