DAYS 1 – 4 • Athens & Delphi, GREECE--King George HotelDiscover Athens, one of the oldest cities in the world. View the neoclassical architecture of the city including the National Academy, University, National Library, and Parliament. Witness the iconic “Evzones” (National Guards) as they watch over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Stop at the Panathinaikon Stadium, site of the first modern Olympic Games, where you can walk or run your own lap.
Explore the marble monuments and temples of the amazing Acropolis, see great exhibits at the new Acropolis Museum, and sample the Flavors of Greece in the markets and local cafes. Spend the day in ancient Delphi – the ‘center of the Ancient World’ set on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Visit the Sanctuary and Temple of Apollo at this UNESCO listed site. Meals: 3B 2L
DAYS 5 - 7 • Mykonos---Myconian Villa CollectionFly to the world-renowned island of Mykonos, a pearl in the Aegean Sea. Tour picture-perfect Mykonos Town, also called ‘Little Venice’. Exploring the narrow-whitewashed streets you discover the lifestyle and true history of this unique town where the layout was designed to confuse pirates. See the Labyrinth as well as the cosmopolitan port, churches, and renowned windmills.
Savor two days at your leisure to hike, snorkel, enjoy the beach or just relax at your hotel nestled in the hillside above beautiful Elia Bay. Meals: B
DAYS 8 - 11 • Santorini---Katikies HotelTravel in Business Class on the 3-hour high-speed ferry to the island of Santorini, part of the Cycladic island group. View the whitewashed, cubic houses, that cling to cliffs above an underwater caldera (crater). Your accommodation sites 300 feet above the dazzling blue caldera basin in Oia on the northern point of the island. Enjoy time to investigate the culture and art galleries in the village. A private catamaran cruise on the Aegean Sea offers great views and stops at some beaches only accessible by boat and an opportunity to swim in natural hot springs before enjoying dinner while viewing the sunset.
Day 11, return to Athens to connect with your departing flight. Meals: 4B 1D
If less island time is preferred, ask about more time on mainland Greece visiting locations such as Meteora and Thessaloniki.
