DAYS 1 – 3 • Cairo, EGYPT---Mena House Hotel

Arrive in Cairo and be transferred to your luxury hotel. Explore the Grand Egyptian Museum with its huge collection of Egyptian antiquities. Drive to Memphis, Egypt’s first capital. Nearby view the Necropolis of Sakkara, the oldest ancient Egyptian cemetery where the world’s first great stone structure, the Step Pyramid of Zoser is located. Explore the Egyptian Museum to view the treasures of the remarkable Tutankhamun collection and the Mummies Room. Meals: B

DAYS 4 – 7 • Nile Cruise, Luxor to Aswan---Sonesta St. George Cruise

Fly to Luxor in the morning and board the luxurious Sonesta St. George cruise where you will reside in your cabin for the next five days as you cruise down the Nile River.

Your Egyptologist will accompany you on your private shore excursions as you discover ancient Thebes in Luxor and walk the burial grounds of the Valley of the Kings and Queens. While sailing to Aswan, visit Horus Temple in Edfu and Temples of Sobek and Horus in Kom Ombo. Once in Aswan, visit the High Dam and the Philae Temple. Enjoy a ride on a traditional felucca and sail to Kitchener’s Island Botanical Gardens. Meals: BLD

DAY 8 - 10 • Abu Simbel / Cairo---Four Seasons Nile Plaza

After disembarking in Aswan, fly to Abu Simbel, and take a closer look at the 3,300 year old temple of Ramses II, dedicated to the sun god Ra, and considered to be one of the most phenomenal engineering feats in all of ancient Egypt.

Return to Cairo where your accommodations will be at your luxury hotel in the heart of the city with views of the Nile and the city’s skyline. Explore the Khan El Khalili Bazaar and wander through its narrow alleyways. Much like the lives of the ancient pharaohs, your memories of this journey will be eternal.
