September 16 & 17, 2023  •  Reykjavik, ICELAND -- Hotel Borg

Arrive Reykjavik where you will be met with VIP service and transferred to your luxury accommodations in the heart of the city. The night before has been reserved for immediate check-in.  Admire the panoramic view of the capital from the fascinating Perlan and see the highlights of the city. Meet your fellow travelers and Lakani Tour Manager at a welcome cocktail and dinner party.

Take an excursion to Borgarfjordur, known for the Icelandic Sagas that are historical stories from the 9th-11th centuries. Continue to Husafell for lunch and then board a vehicle  to drive onto a glacier and tour an ice tunnel with a private guide.  Enjoy a whale watching boat ride to see the Minke, Humpback and other types of whales that call the North Atlanctic home.

September 18 & 19  •  Hella -- Hotel Ranga

On your way to Iceland’s south coast, visit the Golden Circle – Iceland’s Big Three: Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir Geothermal Area and Thingvellir National Park.  Explore these scenic natural wonders and learn about their significance and history.  The roots of how the island was formed can be found at Thingvellir and it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site – the first one named for Iceland.  Start your exploration of the south coast at Seljalandsfoss, one of the iconic waterfalls of Iceland and take an easy hike on Solheimajokull glacier.

September 20 & 21  •  Hof -- Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon

Travel along the picturesque south coast with stunning black sand beaches.  Visit Vik, Iceland’s southernmost village and a historically important trading post.  Learn about Iceland’s unique geology at the Lava Exhibit and molten lava show.  Hike an easy trail from Skaftafell to Svartifoss waterfall.  Visit stunning Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and board a zodiac for an exhilarating ride.

September 22  •  Blue Lagoon -- Silica Hotel

Visit Skogar Folk Museum and tour the collection of cultural artifacts.  See Skogafoss drop over 190 feet over a sheer cliff; enjoy a private visit at a top breeding ranch of the unique Icelandic horse.  Arrive at Reykjanes Peninsula Drive to the Reykjanes Peninsula and visit the Seltun geothermal area and the charming fishing village of Grindavik. Continue to your deluxe hotel just steps from the Blue Lagoon, the famous geothermal spa in a lava field. On your last evening, reminisce with your newfound friends at a farewell cocktail and dinner party.

September 23  •  Keflavik/Reykjavik Airport

Bid farewell to Iceland as you are transferred to Keflavik Airport for your flight home or onward destination.
