Sunday, September 11 - Monday, September 12, 2022  •  Reykjavik, ICELAND -- Hotel Borg

Arrive Reykjavik where you will be provided with VIP service and transferred to your accommodations in the heart of the city. See the highlights of the city and admire the panoramic view of the capital from the fascinating Perlan. Meet your fellow travelers and Lakani Tour Manager at a welcome cocktail and dinner party.

Take an excursion to Borgarfjordur, known for the Icelandic Sagas that are historical stories from the 9th-11th centuries. Continue to Husafell for lunch and then board a private glacier vehicle to drive onto a glacier and tour an ice tunnel with a private guide.

Tuesday, September 13 - Thursday, September 15  •  Akureyri, Myvatn & Egilsstadir -- Hotel Kea / Lake Hotel

Transfer to the airport for your charter flight to Akureyri, an important port on Eyjafjordur Fjord, nicknamed the Capital of North Iceland. Explore the highlights of Akureyri, including the stained-glass windows portraying scenes from Icelandic Christian history in the church, and the Akureyri Art Museum. Your hotel is in the heart of the town.

Embark on an exciting private whale watching cruise in the fjord. Tour a fish plant and experience shark tasting. Visit the unique Herring Era Museum in Siglufjordur.

As you depart Akureyri visit the spectacular Godafoss Waterfall. Cross the fascinating black sand deserts of the highlands to the beautiful volcanic lake region of Myvatn, known for its birdlife and geothermal activity. Arrive in Egilsstadir and your hotel on the banks of the lovely Lagarfljot River.

Drive to the fishing town of Hofn for lunch. Board a zodiac for a cruise on a stunning glacier lagoon. Continue to your accommodation located between two natural wonders.

Explore the waterfalls and glaciers of Skaftafell National Park. Take a private glacier walk and learn about the ice cap at its visitor center.

Sunday, September 18 & Monday, September 19  •  Hella -- Hotel Ranga

Arrive in the seaside village of Vik to attend a unique demonstration of molten lava. Drive along the scenic South Coast of Iceland, stopping for a private tour of the collection of cultural artifacts at the Skogar Museum. Arrive at your accommodations near Hella.

Travel the famous “Golden Circle” to discover Iceland’s most famous landmarks. Enter Thingvellir National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the American and European tectonic plates meet. Continue to the impressive Gullfoss Waterfall and the incredible spouting hot springs of Geysir.

Tuesday, September 20  •  Grindavik/Blue Lagoon -- Silica Hotel

Drive to the Reykjanes Peninsula and visit the Seltun geothermal area and the charming fishing village of Grindavik. Continue to your deluxe hotel near the Blue Lagoon, the famous geothermal spa in a lava field on the Reykjanes Peninsula. On your last evening, reminisce with your newfound friends at a farewell cocktail and dinner party.

Wednesday, September 21  •  Keflavik/Reykjavik Airport

Bid farewell to Iceland as you are transferred to Keflavik Airport for your flight home or onward destination.
