October 4, 2020  •  Florence -- The St. Regis

Arrive Florence where you will be met by your VIP greeter and transferred to your splendid hotel. Gather together for a welcome dinner party to meet fellow travelers and your Lakani Tour Manager.

October 5 - 6, 2020  •  Casole d'Elsa -- Belmond Castello Di Casole

Drive into the picturesque Tuscan countryside to the charming hill town of Siena. Explore the historic center, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Casole d’Elsa and your enchanting hotel. Take a morning excursion into the Val d’Orsia, inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage Site list for its scenic beauty. Walk through Pienza, and stop at a local farm to taste “Cacio di Pienza,” one of the best Pecorino cheeses in Italy.

October 7 - 8  •  Porto Ercole -- Hotel Il Pelicano

Travel to the village of Bolgheri, known for its red Bordeaux-style wines. Tour the historic center on foot, then indulge in a tasting of the famous Sassicaia wine with lunch. Visit a Tuscan farm to witness the horsemanship of the Butteri (Tuscan cowboys) known for their unsurpassed riding ability working with long-horn cattle unique to the region.

October 9 - 10  •  Saturnia -- Hotel Terme Di Saturnia

Drive inland to the tufa area of southern Tuscany, nicknamed for the volcanic rock, tuff, used for much of the construction of the cities. Visit the walled town of Pitigliano and see the Palazzo Orsini and the Jewish Ghetto quarter. Discover Romanesque churches and buildings as well as ancient Etruscan remains in the small town of Sovana. Arrive in Saturnia in time to enjoy the natural hot springs, for which the area is known. Dine in a celebrated medieval village stone house restaurant.

Take an excursion to historic Tuscania, a picturesque small town in the Northern Lazio region. Visit the scenic port of Capodimonte, on Lake Bolsena to cruise the lake and see volcanic Bisentina Island with seven chapels and churches in the soaring volcanic cliffs. Enjoy lunch in a lakeside town before returning to your hotel.

October 11 - 13  •  Perugia -- Sina Brufani

Visit the Umbrian town of Orvieto, sitting majestically high above the valley on a volcanic stone cliff. See the Duomo of Oriveto and its Capella di San Brizio.

Tour medieval Perugia, the capital of the province and the Umbrian region, to see the Palazzo dei Priori and National Gallery of Umbria.  Discover the luxury fashion brand of Brunello Cucinelli in the village of Solomeo.

Embark on a morning tour of UNESCO World Heritage Site of Assisi and visit the Basilica di San Francesco. Visit Spello and marvel at the striking Renaissance fresco by Pinturicchio in the Baglioni Chapel.

October 14 - 15  •  Rome -- The St. Regis Rome

Admire the Umbrian vistas en route to Rome, arriving in time for lunch at Pincio Terrace. Capture views of the city from Gianicolo Hill, Aventine Hill, and from the top of Vittorio Emanuel monument. Reminisce with fellow travelers at a festive farewell party.
