Livingstone, Zambia
From Northern Tanzania down to Zambia was a quick easy flight aboard our beautiful Falcon 900 jet. We love to be with our crew for a couple of hours and enjoy their attentive service. Too soon, we were landing at Livingstone Airport, Victoria Falls and are soon safely ensconced in the Royal Livingstone Hotel on the banks of the great Zambezi River.
Our time at one of the world’s 7 Natural Wonders encompasses a full tour of the Falls with our excellent guide who also gives us a fascinating lecture on Dr. David Livingstone and his discovery of the Falls. A highlight of our trip is an ‘up close and personal’ visit with elephants where we spend time with these giant pachyderms. Travelling up and down the Zambezi River by jet boat, we also enjoyed a riverside luncheon at the Elephant Cafe, joined by our flight crew. We briefly visit a local village and their small handcraft market. We also enjoyed the Falls from above, with flights by helicopter for optimal photo opportunities.
We head on to the place some say ‘god created in anger’ … the extraordinary place called Namibia. We may as well be flying to the moon.
