Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, South Africa – June 26 – 29
There can be no better ‘grande finale’ to an amazing African adventure Private Jet Tour than a place called Singita Boulders. We have arrived – Wow! Quite suddenly we have a new meaning to Safari luxury, best in the bushveld, or ‘blow my hat off’ sensational. These are the most impressive large villa ‘safari dwellings’ in Africa complete with heated private pools, bathrooms as big as bedrooms, indoor / outdoor showers. It’s also here that we know we can catch up on those two of the Big5 missed in Tanzania and add a few more ‘up close and personal’ sightings of others.
After a comfy speedy private jet flight from Namibia to Kruger (using the small Kruger international airport as our entry into South Africa and so conveniently avoiding Johannesburg) … as well as enjoying a birthday party & brunch on board our jet … we’re at Singita easily and efficiently and ready for more safari.
Our days are spent enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives. For the cold mornings Safaris we do appreciate the fleece ponchos and additional blankets, and the Singita “bushbabies” … hot water bottles. Exciting safari adventures in our custom made 4×4 Landrover Safari vehicles, along with our safari guides and expert trackers, we are with simply the best for safari here. It’s not long before we’re scoring high points with leopard and rhino sightings … as well as plenty of elephant families, Cape Buffalo, and other interesting sights large and smaller. There’s plenty to see as wildlife is abundant on the Singita Private Reserve. Some of us enjoy a mid-morning bush safari walk to concentrate on ‘tracking’ wildlife. We’re all privileged to be here amid this wild kingdom “jewel” of South Africa.
We also enjoy all the good people of Singita. Our staff are quickly our friends. We’re hosted to a Boma dinner (traditional African enclosure open to the stars). An impressive South African braai bar-b-que in a beautiful candle and lamp lit setting with a nice log fire. The staff brings us their traditional songs and dance. It’s all lively. The dining at Singita Boulders is renowned and excellent … and of course we all willingly indulge. On our final night we enjoy a group farewell dinner together and share stories and much merriment of our extraordinary experiences around Africa.
Goodbyes are never easy … so it’s farewells for all. We’ve been a good group together. We’ve shared together in some of our world’s most amazing adventures and extraordinary experiences. Africa has weaved it’s “magic” upon us … and it is good. New insights to life and living and glimpses into other cultures. Far away exotic places dreamed of for years. These are the precious times that are now ours forever. We shall never forget.
