DAYS 1 – 4  •  Munich, GERMANY---Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski

Arrive in Munich and be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy Munich’s old town on a walking tour including the Marienplatz, the 16th century Cathedral and the lively Viktualienmarkt. Visit the galleries of Alte Pinakothek with over 800 masterpieces, and the17th century baroque Nymphenburg Palace and gardens; Olympiapark and BMW Museum. Take an excursion outside the city to Chiemsee Lake, Bavaria’s largest, and the location of King Ludwig II’s Herrenchiemsee Palace, modeled after Versailles. Visit Ludwig II’s most famous castle, arriving at Neuschwanstein by horse and carriage and complete your visit with Linderhof Palace. Meals: B

DAYS 5 - 6  •  Nuremberg / Dresden---Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski

Depart Munich to visit Nuremberg for a walking tour of old town and see the medieval city walls and landmarks such as the Albrecht Dürer House and Nuremberg Castle. Depart Bavaria and continue to Dresden to check into your hotel. Explore the 800-year-old city on a walking tour including Dresden Cathedral, the historic Green Vault and the Zwinger festival palace. DAYS 7 - 11  •  Meissen / Berlin & Depart Home---Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin

Visit Meissen as you leave Dresden, stopping for a private tour of the renown Meissen Porcelain Manufactory. Arrive in Berlin, visit the Brandenburg Gate, the only remaining city date that became symbolic of the division of the city following WWII. Tour the east side of Berlin, the location of notorious sites of the Third Reich and Cold War. Visit the Holocaust Museum and the Reichstag government building to see its spectacular glass dome. Visit Museum Island with its unique collection of five important museum buildings.

Continue exploring Berlin on Kurfurstendamm Avenue and at Charlottenburg Palace.  Head out of the city to Potsdam, once the capital of Prussia, to visit the magnificent Sanssouci Palace,  Cecilienhof Palace and Barberini Museum. Also significant in WWII, visit the “Bridge of Spies” and learn about the Potsdam Conference. Return to Berlin via the Grunewald Forest. You’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. Meals: B
