DAYS 1 – 3 • Istanbul, TURKEY---Four Seasons Sultanahmet HotelLearn the rich story of the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empires by exploring Turkey’s churches, museums and palaces. Some of the best-preserved remnants are to be found here. Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will be met and transferred to your luxury hotel. Visit the famed Hippodrome Square which was once the sporting and social center of Constantinople, and the Blue Mosque which is one of the most famous masterpieces of Ottoman religious architecture. Continue to Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica of Saint Sophia which served both Christianity and Islam and now is operated as a museum displaying Byzantine art and architecture embellished by Ottoman taste. Visit the most prestigious edifice Dolmabahce Palace which is the nation’s special pride. Experience the Grand Bazaar where you will have an opportunity to shop. DAY 4 • Sirince---Antmare HotelFly to Izmir this morning, hometown of Homer and the third biggest city of Turkey. Continue on a scenic drive to Selcuk, the first settlement of Ephesus founded by the Greek colonists in the 11th century. Ephesus’ history and archaeology will offer you their majesty of incredible richness. Visit the Library of Celsus which was built in honor of the great governor of Roman days. After an intense day in Ephesus, you will continue to Sirince, a village which boasts authentic Greco-Mediterranean architecture. Meals: B
DAYS 5 – 7 • Cappadocia---Tafoni Evleri Cave HotelFly to Kayseri where you transfer to Cappadocia. Visit the Goreme open air museum and the Kaymaklı Underground City. The highlights also include Pigeons Valley, Pasabag Valley and Ortahisar, the conic rock formations that locals have created many legends about and enjoy taking pictures of the fairy chimneys and valleys with rustic colors. Observe Chez Galip, a true legend in pottery, in creating some of his masterpieces of pottery and ceramics. Enjoy an early morning hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia.
