Captivating Experiences Around the World 2015 – Seattle and “Welcome Aboard”…

Seattle to Seoul, SOUTH KOREA, October 6-8 – We’re a fortunate few gathering in Seattle with keen anticipation for our upcoming Lakani’s “Captivating Experiences” Around The World luxury private jet journey. As we gather in Seattle, being met with private chauffeured sedans, we enjoy the 5 star comforts and convenience of the Fairmont Olympic Seattle, located right downtown. The sun shines for us and so some explore independently. There’s excitement in the air … we’re soon to be headed off on world adventures visiting 8 destinations of renown.

A very special aspect unique to Lakani World Tours is the smaller group size. On our Around The World trip, this unique mandate ensures that all Lakani guests are accommodated in Suite accommodations in most destinations throughout our trip in the finest hotels of our choice destinations. Only the very best for all as a very special trip of this kind demands. And so we start as such for our guests with large spacious suites in Seattle.

We join together to meet our fellow travelers at an intimate cocktail reception and elegant dinner party in the Fairmont’s stunning glass Garden Room. There are fun reunions for some former Lakani private jet clients finding travel friends returning again for more splendid adventures around the world. (Each year is an entirely different itinerary of destinations). Our Lakani team in Seattle is comprised of Heidi Lakani – who travels on this trip – as well as Jan Moester and John Webley (tour managers), and our office private jet administrators Janet and Christy. We all enjoy a lovely evening together reconnecting and meeting new friends … not to forget a superb delicious dinner menu accompanied by fine wines and champagnes. Quite simply, we’re again the ‘envy of ourselves’ and likely many others too.

28 Pigman Cardwell (2)Our ‘home in the sky’ for this wondrous trip is a specially reconfigured long range Boeing 757. It’s unbelievably spacious for our smaller group. Our Icelandic crew are best professionals in the flight service business. There’s masses of room in large leather recliner seats … and our own “sky lounge” aloft with mahogany dining tables of four along the windows. We only fly in daylight hours – never any jet lag on a Lakani world tour – so our ‘sky high’ specialty is long delicious luncheons prepared and served fresh by our onboard Chef and Sous Chef. Each guest enjoys an individual iPad packed with information pertaining to our trip, as well as DVD players for plenty of good movies and music. This kind of jet puts all the FUN back into air travel … including that we depart from nearby downtown Boeing Field (private airport) avoiding all the ‘fuss and chaos’ of big commercial SeaTac.

We’re on our way easily and efficiently and in such style. The first flight always our longest flight day, taking us from the USA across the international dateline, and across to Asia where we head into Seoul, South Korea. Heading out from Seattle at a sensible 10am, after a many hours most comfortable flight we land into Seoul at in the afternoon (the following day) without having any darkness on our way! Instead, we have indulged and enjoyed: a celebratory champagne & caviar service as well as Icelandic vodka; the finest wines and a full bar of premium spirits, cognacs and liqueurs; assortment of delicious canapés and hors d’oeuvres; a full lavish luncheon including duck pate, sautéed Sea Bass, roast filet of lamb, fresh vegetables of asparagus, carrots, broccoli and parsley new potatoes, with a finale of dark & white chocolate mousse and fresh berries.32 photo 2

Our late afternoon arrival in Seoul in bright sunshine and warm autumn weather made for a rush-hour traffic jam through the city to our hotel. We were all amazed at the congestion of this city. We had been warned! Luggage always travels separately on Lakani jet tours … it leaves from inside your suite in the morning of departure, and arrives inside your next hotel suite that same later afternoon. No touching luggage en route for our guests.

A small welcome cocktail reception with Korean folkloric dancers was a colorful end to our long international day. Famous local dance performances of Fan dance, Janggu drum dance, and Hwang-JinYi dance were highlights of our memorable arrival. A wonderful traditional welcome.

Here we are … Safely in Seoul in a beautiful 5 star hotel, our guests in Suites. A good night’s sleep for all and we’re ready for Korean adventures.
